广西大熊猫主食竹资源调查(大熊猫吃的竹子是什么品种)
The investigation of the species, distribution and resource available of the bamboo species that giant panda takes as staple food in Guangxi could lay a foundation for the preservation and collection of germplasm resources of these bamboo species. The results show that there are 7 varieties, 14 cultivars and 62 species of bamboo from 15 genera in Guangxi, which could be used as the staple food of giant pandas. The bamboo species of economic value, planted over 10 000 ha, including Phyllostachys edulis, Bambusa chungii, B. pervariabilis, Dendrocalamus minor and D. latiflorus, could be the food of giant pandas, and the bamboo species commonly used in landscaping, such as B. multiplex, B. multiplex ‘Alphonse-Karr’, B. vulgaris, B. vulgaris ‘Wamin’ and B. vulgaris ‘Vittata’, are also what giant panda likes to eat. There are many species of staple-food bamboo in Guangxi, which are wildly planted and have high yields with extensive planting and large yield, and these bamboo forests could provide sufficient food for feeding giant pandas in Guangxi.
